General Dentistry

Because good oral health doesn't happen by chance.

Good oral health is crucial to
overall wellbeing.

Many people may only need to visit us once or twice a year. Others will need more specialised plans which we can tailor to suit based on your unique needs.

During your regular check-ups, we can always alter plans and offer new insights based on digital x-rays giving us a complete view of the mouth, including areas not visible during a standard exam.

Single Visit Dental Crowns

If your teeth are worn, broken, or missing, our restorative treatments can rebuild your smile with strength and precision.

Thanks to innovative tools like CEREC, we design and place custom ceramic crowns that blend perfectly with your natural teeth, often completed in a single visit.

Crowns provide long-lasting support for weakened teeth, bridges fill spaces left by tooth loss, and inlays/onlays offer durable, natural-looking solutions when a traditional filling isn’t enough. These options not only improve chewing comfort but also help keep your smile looking balanced and cohesive.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is an excellent, fixed (non-removable) option designed to seamlessly replace one or more missing teeth.

It works by anchoring a replacement tooth to the natural teeth on either side of the gap, ensuring the bridge functions just like your natural dentition. Crafted from high-quality, tooth-colored materials, the restoration blends perfectly with your smile.

At Dental on Broadway, we utilize latest digital technology to offer the convenience of same-day bridges for many patients, allowing us to efficiently place a precise, custom-fitting, and highly esthetic restorations.

Sports Mouthguards

At Dental on Broadway, we craft custom-fit  mouthguards that are so comfortable, you'll barely notice you're wearing them.

Our laminated mouthguards provide far greater levels of protection than the “boil and bite” products in chemists and sports stores.

They are essential to reduce the likelihood of: chipping, breaking and loss of teeth, neck and jaw injuries, lacerations of gums and tongue, and even concussion.

Nightguards

Nighttime teeth grinding (bruxism) and clenching can cause irreversible damage, not only to your teeth but also with chronic jaw pain and muscular tension in your face and neck.

A professionally fitted nightguard - also known as an occlusal splint - is the most effective solution to prevent dental wear and significantly relieve associated pain.

At Dental on Broadway, we utilise our cutting-edge intra-oral scanner to construct a fully customised, exceptionally comfortable appliance, ensuring a perfect fit that you can wear every single night, effectively safeguarding your smile and promoting muscle relaxation.

FAQs

Why is it important to have regular check-ups and cleans(e.g. every 6 months)?

We firmly believe that good dental health is critical for your overall physical and mental well-being, but it doesn't happen by accident—it requires time, care, and consistent maintenance. Routine visits allow our team to detect problems like decay or gum disease in their earliest stages, which often means the treatment is simpler, less time-consuming, and more affordable in the long run.

What is a professional dental clean, and why do I need one?

At Dental on Broadway our professional dental cleaning is a thorough procedure performed by a dental hygienist or dentist to remove plaque, calculus (tartar) and stains from your teeth. It's essential because while daily brushing and flossing are crucial, they can't remove hardened buildup which can lead to cavities and gum disease. Regular professional cleanings prevent these issues, help freshen your breath, remove surface stains, and allow for the early detection of more serious oral health problems, ultimately contributing to better overall health.

What happens at an emergency dental visit?

At an emergency dental appointment, the primary goal is to address your immediate concern, whether it's severe pain, a chipped or broken tooth, or another urgent issue. The dentist will perform a focused examination, often including X-rays and specific tests, to quickly diagnose the problem. They will then provide you with a plan of action. While the main objective of this first visit is to relieve your discomfort, you may need to return for additional treatment to fully resolve the issue. Our receptionist may also contact you beforehand to gather information and help the dentist prepare for your arrival.

What is the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)?

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian government program that provides financial support for basic dental services for eligible children up to 17 years of age. A child is eligible if they are on a Family Tax Benefit Part A or other government payment and are also eligible for Medicare. Give us a call today to find out if your child is eligible.

When should I bring my child to the dentist for the first time?

We recommend bringing your child to the dentist around two years of age, or even earlier if you have any concerns. We believe it's important for children to feel confident and comfortable at the dental clinic. You are welcome to bring them along to one of your own appointments first so they can become familiar with our team and the environment. This helps build trust and can make their first official visit a positive and stress-free experience.
